Do you ever stumble over your words when talking to a prospect for fear of not saying the right thing, or even knowing what to say at all? Do you avoid talking to prospects on the phone because it rarely turns into CASH? In this mlm training tip, I’m going to disclose my favorite communication technique that works like gang busters every time.
The #1 question that my newest team members ask as it relates to talking to a prospect is, “what do I say?” At the heart of this question is a disconnect from normal human interaction because the focus is on SELLING or CLOSING, when in reality is should be on CONNECTING.
If you are a good connector, you will sell or close more than an average number of people into your business. When I first got into the habit of talking to leads, I was taught what I call the ‘fork in the road’ technique, which makes the flow of the conversation very easy.
The cool thing about this technique is that it keeps the focus of the prospect talking about their favorite subject – themselves. So, let’s break down this technique.
When you think about a fork in the road, you see two distinct directions that you can travel, and you must choose one before reaching the literal fork. Essentially you want to ask questions of your prospect that force them to take one road, and when they do you simply follow them down that road until you present them with another fork. All along you’re gathering information leading up to the ultimate ‘dead end’ which is to join your business, purchase your product, or get off your list.
When using this technique, you must be skilled enough to not turn this into an interrogation. Rapid fire questions isn’t the goal; connecting on a real level is the goal. Check out the following sentences to see if you can identify the fork in the road.
You have to open the conversation with something to get them talking, and my favorite place to start is asking them about their area code (assuming they are calling from one that I don’t live in). Let’s say their area code is 614, which I happen to know is Ohio. It’s now time to get into our fork in the road communication. Here’s how this would sound:
“So you live in Ohio. Have you lived there your whole life or did you relocate from somewhere else?”
(No, I relocated from New jersey)
“Really? I’m originally from Ohio. Did you relocate to Ohio because of job or because you were looking for a change of scenery?”
(My company relocated me after I got a promotion).
I could go on and on, but I think you get the point. I need to make a few additional points in order to make sure this is a conversation, not an interrogation.
First, always interject a bit of personal information especially when you can relate to them. You should give one bit of personal information about yourself to keep the conversation going in a natural way. If they say that they have two kids and you ask, “are they all boys or do you have a mix?” when they answer, you want to volunteer some information such as, “I happen to have 3 girls and two boys myself.”
Finally, make sure you weave in and out of personal and professional information. Don’t be so personal that it’s “social hour,” but don’t be all-business . It’s a balancing act but you can skillfully maneuver through a conversation all the way down to the point of the call – your business.

Calling your leads and prospecting is critical to your MLM Network Marketing Success. It’s almost impossible to build a network marketing business without prospecting. No matter if you using the internet or not. Alot of people turn to the internet to build their network marketing business which is great,but the problems lies when people start to think they can hide behind the computer.
The best ways to get over fear of calling your leads and becoming a better at prospecting is to just do it. The best experience you can actually gain is to actually call people. You don’t have to be perfect. The next thing which will help you is to invest in prospecting training to improve your skills.
There are 4 additional steps you can add to become better at prospecting.
When you speak to someone on the phone remember these 4 steps as you go to the process.
Introduction – When you first speak to someone you want to introduce yourself and why you are calling. At this point is a great time to also ask them is this a good time to speak.
Rapport building – Before you dive straight into business ask some questions about them. If can be what do you do for a living, how long you live in your current city etc. This establishes a instant rapport with your and your prospect.
Fact Finding – This is the part where you found out what your prospect is looking for. You want to asked alot of questions and listen to your prospect is here. This will let you know if your product,service or opportunity is a great fit for them.
Close – This is when you ask your prospect are they ready to take action. You must asked your prospect if they are ready to join or sign up. If you don’t most of the time they won’t.
The main thing you want to remember if you call your prospect you will surely improve. Ask questions and listen and you will be on your way to becoming a closing master.

Forget Your Warm Market

The best way to make serious money in network marketing is to continue recruiting new distributors into your business at least until you reach the income level that you want. I realize that nearly everyone preaches about “getting a stable customer base” for your business — or finding “3-5 front line people” from “your warm market” to be front line distributors under you, and then “helping these 3-5 front line people” to do the same thing without you ever having to recruit anyone else. Well, that is wrong, and anyone telling you that is misleading you.
The fact is that making big money requires recruiting as many new distributors as you can AT LEAST UNTIL YOU REACH YOUR DESIRED INCOME LEVEL, and teaching these new distributors to keep recruiting new distributors themselves (the distributors will become your customer base, anyway). Unfortunately, people are taught to contact, recruit, and sign up the wrong people. They are told to “recruit your 3-5 front line people” and then that it’s okay to stop recruiting and to simply “help your 3-5 front line people”. They also are taught to do all of this using all the wrong strategies and tactics, and this is what leads to all of the frustration, stress, anger, unnecessary hassle and failure.
Recruiting distributors and building your home business is a simple process. However, you must ignore virtually everything that you have been taught before now. To be successful, you must go against the grain, you must break nearly all the “rules” you have learned, and you must apply common sense to your efforts. Much of what you have been taught flies in the face of basic common sense, and most of it makes your job difficult, if not impossible.

WHAT USUALLY HAPPENS
You know exactly what I mean — you are told to “make a list of 200 (or 500) people you know — family, friends, neighbors, etc.” You are told to tell them about this “great product that solves / cures / etc.” — whatever. You are told to get them using the product and then sign them up as distributors once they are “hooked” on what a great product this is. And/or you are told to buy a list of “fresh, hot, super-responsive” business opportunity seeker leads, put them into an autoresponder, direct them to your own “completely automated/it does 95% of the work” website, and then call those who “take the tour” and sign them up.
Well, as you know, this doesn’t work very well, if at all, and it involves a great deal of hassle for you. You spend all of your time chasing after your so-called “warm market” and attempting to get them either to sign up or to do something after they have signed up. You spend all of your time chasing after “biz opp” seekers who have “taken the tour”, and then you try to get them to sign up or do something after they have signed up. You do four, five and more follow-up calls with these folks, and you get frustrated
when no one signs up.
When people actually do sign up, you end up spending your time training, babysitting, handholding, and pleading with people who either never should have been in the business, or never really wanted to be in the business, or never will do anything anyway, or never bother to learn the business, or
never take complete responsibility for themselves.
You have been told — incorrectly, I might add — that all you have to do to be really successful is to find 3-5 people from “your warm market” who want to make “a little extra money” and then “help them find 3-5 people from their warm market”. You find your 3-5 people — then you spend nearly all your time and energy trying to make these people successful. (In other words… trying to get them to do something — and by the way, you cannot “make” anyone become successful.)
Deep down, however, you know it isn’t working the way it’s supposed to work, at least according to your upline. You keep following up, chasing, training, answering questions from your downline and prospects, spinning your wheels, etc. You keep getting nowhere, and you keep wondering what
to do to get these 3-5 people of yours working so that you can become successful. Then most of them quit, and you have to try to find more people from your so-called warm market and from the biz opp seeker crowd — and the hassle and unproductive activity starts all over again. And it’s a fact — all ofthis unnecessary hassle and unproductive activity eventually leads to frustration, stress, anger and unnecessary failure.

THERE IS A BETTER WAY
Your mission is to find, recruit, and sign up as many distributors as you possibly can (not just those 3-5 people) and certainly not co-dependent, unproductive, and weak distributors. This is how you make real money in network marketing. This is how you can regain complete control of your
time and your life.
The good news is that you can continually find, recruit, and sign up the right people for your business with a minimum of stress and hassle, IF you do it the right way.
There are a few simple, basic rules you must apply in order to survive and prosper in network marketing. You will be amazed at how applying these simple rules will reduce your stress and will eliminate virtually all the hassles that you previously thought were a necessary evil in this business
(and that have been driving you crazy). Then you can start succeeding.

Here are the “Real Rules” that you must follow…
1. Continue to contact and recruit existing network marketers AT LEAST UNTIL YOU REACH YOUR DESIRED INCOME LEVEL.
2. Teach your downline to do the same.
3. Make sure your downline always has leads of existing network marketers.
4. Conduct yourself as a professional at all times.
5. Always require your downline members to be completely responsible for themselves.
6. Forget ALL the conventional wisdom.
7. Commit to at least one 90-Day Blitz and just do it, no matter what.

Are you a Persuader or Sorter?

Let me ask you a question, wouldn’t it be nice if you could only work with people who are excited, who are calling you back and wanting your help and are taking action and are doing what it takes to become successful?
Well, guess what, I am here to tell you that you can. Yes, this is true. One of the most successful guys I know in this industry always has said, “ONE OF THE BIGGEST MISTAKES MOST PEOPLE MAKE IN THIS BUSINESS, IS THEY WASTE TIME WITH PEOPLE WHO WILL NEVER DO WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS BUSINESS”.
So if this is true, then let’s look at ways we can stop wasting our valuable time. We will start by looking at the big picture. Many people look at this business like it is a huge elephant and become frustrated without giving it time to work. Let’s try and break this elephant down into smaller portions. First of all we have to come to the conclusion that we are only looking for around 1% of the population, yes that’s right, only 1%, but that 1% can make you rich.
I once heard a very successful sales manager say that about 3% of people are in sales. And out of that 3% many don’t like sales and many are not good at sales, so out of the 3% only 1% makes a ton of the money. What does that 1% do or know that the others don’t? They know how to work the numbers; they only work with the people who are very interested with what they have, if they feel they are not, they move on fast and only work with the right prospect, the ones that are ready to buy. What a concept, huh! Think about this, do you really think you are going to convince someone to do something they don’t want to? People have been trying to do that for hundreds of years. That’s why we have wars and conflicts. So, I ask you why even go there? Remember, we are only looking for the 1%ers. The sooner we face the facts that we have to eliminate over 97% of the people we come in contact with; the sooner we will quit trying to convince anyone. This only makes us want to quit, get frustrated and to think this doesn’t work. These people will only waste your time and bring you down.
We must learn that we are the one asking the questions to find out if they are what we are looking for and are qualified enough for us to spend our valuable time with, not them with us. Think about how fun it would be to only have positive and hard working people with the same goals as you have. You could build an army.
This reminds me of a story I read about some years ago, 20/20 did a feature show on Amway. They spent 19 minutes interviewing whiners and complainers‐ several distributors who had failed and showed their garages full of products they couldn’t sell.
During the last minutes of the show, Mr. Britt, one of the most successful distributors in Amway was interviewed in front of his palatial home. He was asked, “Mr. Britt, this business has obviously worked for you. What’s your secret?” He replied, “There is NO secret. I simply showed the plan to 1200 people. 900 said, “NO” and only 300 signed up. Out of those 300, only 85 did anything at all. Out of those 85 only 35 were serious, and out of those 35, 11 made me a millionaire.” Bill understood the numbers he had to work thru to find his few good people.
So here’s the deal, you can either work thru the numbers wasting your time and working with the wrong people or you can only work with the right people and enjoy the ride as you go. So who cares how long it takes you to find them. When you understand the numbers, you will understand that it will always be too early to quit.

What Are Wealth Cycles?

When I began studying monetary history and wealth cycles, I was electrified by the realization that the same patterns have repeated over and over again, from ancient Greece and Rome to our own modern global society.
What really thrilled me was the realization that understanding those cycles gave me a roadmap for where today’s markets and the economy were headed. For example, I could see that every time in history that a government intervened in free markets, the markets would eventually undergo a correction. I could see that every time a government began devaluing its currency by creating more and more of it, certain events, like inflation or hyperinflation, would follow, every time.
My understanding of cycles has allowed to me to build a successful business and secure my family’s wealth. My strategy is to invest in accordance with the natural economic cycles that have occurred repeatedly throughout history. Time and again, I have made successful investments not because I’m some financial wizard, but because my understanding of those cycles gave me just a little bit of an informational edge over the next guy.
The purpose of this introduction to the Wealth Cycle Principle is to give you the opportunity to gain that edge as well.
What is a Cycle?
The word “cycle” comes from the Greek word kyklos, meaning cycle or circle. One common definition of cycle is “a periodically repeated sequence of events.”
The idea of a cycle is symbolized by a circle, which, because there is no beginning or end, represents recurrence. The symbolic circle is often divided into segments—often two, such as the Chinese yin and yang or day/night, but more often four segments, like the seasons.

A recognition and understanding of cycles is one way human beings are able to recognize patterns in data. As early humans learned that events in nature recur over and over again with regularity, they developed the ability to plan for the future, which ultimately led to advanced civilizations.
Human understanding of cycles goes back thousands of years, beginning with the recognition of the human life cycle. Every human who has ever lived was subject to the human life cycle of birth, childhood, adulthood, aging and death.
Early humans also recognized the life cycles of animals and plants and the regular changing of the seasons. They learned to use their understanding of cycles to plan their hunts, to know when native plants would be ripe for harvest and eventually to develop agriculture. By developing an understanding of the past, humans learned to manage the future better.
Cycles, as our ancestors recognized, are relevant in all aspects of life, be it the lifecycle of a cicada or the birth and death of a planet. In fact, even our human behavior and personalities are subject to cycles. Changes in the seasons raise or dampen our spirits; many people respond with depression to dark, dreary winter and grow cheery with the advent of warm spring sunshine and bright summer days. Many cycles trigger polarities of moods—from peace to war, or, with market cycles, from “exuberance” to “depression.”
