Preservation of Wealth

As a true observer, I have noticed as of lately there has been a big buzz about Preservation of Wealth . The Network Marketing community, has been blanket with the opportunity that the said company presents. Along with this are the stories of course are the typical ‘MLM naysayers’ saying that Preservation of Wealth scam. Well, in this Preservation of Wealth review article, let me tackle the truth about the company and see if it is a scam, or a legitimate home based business.

Preservation of Wealth is basically a “Costco Type” Membership for Bullion Coins. The cost is $249 for a 12 month membership which allows you to buy bullion coins at unbeatable prices for 1 full year. The Preservation of Wealth “Option-ship” is a part of the program where POW members have the “option” hence the term “option-ship” to auto-ship to themselves monthly an Ms70 American Silver Eagle. If members Opt into the Option-Ship this counts as Product “50BV” or Volume and helps you to “Cycle” into another $100 Cycle bonus faster.

To qualify for “Cycle Bonuses” in Preservation of Wealth, you must refer 3 Memberships. 1 of those may be from your own purchase of a membership. You must also place the Business Volume (BV) of at least 1 Membership on each of your teams. Effective, 3-13-11, when you have at least 300 BV on one Team side and at least 300 BV on the other, you earn a cycle, which is a $100.00 commission. Team Business Volume counts for you the same as if you made the sale yourself, regardless of who makes the referral. Each new member counts as 100BV in whatever side they land in, and counts toward the 300 bv on the left team, and 300 bv on the right team you need to qualify to earn another $100 Cycle Bonus. This commissions is NOT a “Residual Income”. But only earned when new Memberships are sold.But will it live up to the hype?

In conclusion, Preservation of Wealth  isn’t a scam. Instead, it’s just a new MLM Company trying to establish its credibility by offering individuals an opportunity to make money.

I discovered like any profession, it’s not the company that makes an individual successful. If you want success in POW, you need the right marketing skill set and COACHING from people who actually know how to market online & offline. Yes, an individual has to have a well established foundation of marketing techniques for him or her to have an edge in the marketing industry and be able to sponsor 10-20 reps a month. However, before you’re able to sponsor 20 reps a month you first need a stream of NEW TARGETED LEADS to talk to every single day. After all, this is a marketing industry, so a parallel set of knowledge is the most important one.

Well, in this Efoods Global review article, let me tackle the truth about the company and see if it is a scam, or a legitimate home based business.

eFoods Global is a new company founded by six executives and helmed by Steve Shenk. The company was formed in autumn, 2010, with headquarters in Midvale, Utah. eFoods Global states their mission is “To build innovative brands and systems that improve the personal security of each life we touch. We strive to manifest excellence in every aspect of our business and always do the right thing by putting people first.”

Founded on the idea that food is essentially the center of any successful existence, eFoods Global is a manufacturer storable food supplies designed to maintain a shelf life of up to 25 years. The company provides food for both immediate consumption and for safe keeping in times of drought, famine or long term emergencies.

eFoods Global’s compensation plan is based on a binary compensation structure which means that each individual IBO ( Independent Business Owners ) utilizes two “legs”, in the form of teams, a right and left. Once an IBO places his or her first two referrals, all others are then placed beneath them in their organizational down line

But will it live up to the hype?

In conclusion, Efoods Global isn’t a scam. Instead, it’s just a new MLM Company trying to establish its credibility by offering individuals an opportunity to make money.

What Are Wealth Cycles?

When I began studying monetary history and wealth cycles, I was electrified by the realization that the same patterns have repeated over and over again, from ancient Greece and Rome to our own modern global society.

What really thrilled me was the realization that understanding those cycles gave me a roadmap for where today’s markets and the economy were headed. For example, I could see that every time in history that a government intervened in free markets, the markets would eventually undergo a correction. I could see that every time a government began devaluing its currency by creating more and more of it, certain events, like inflation or hyperinflation, would follow, every time.

My understanding of cycles has allowed to me to build a successful business and secure my family’s wealth. My strategy is to invest in accordance with the natural economic cycles that have occurred repeatedly throughout history.  Time and again, I have made successful investments not because I’m some financial wizard, but because my understanding of those cycles gave me just a little bit of an informational edge over the next guy.

The purpose of this introduction to the Wealth Cycle Principle is to give you the opportunity to gain that edge as well.

What is a Cycle?

The word “cycle” comes from the Greek word kyklos, meaning cycle or circle. One common definition of cycle is “a periodically repeated sequence of events.”

The idea of a cycle is symbolized by a circle, which, because there is no beginning or end, represents recurrence. The symbolic circle is often divided into segments—often two, such as the Chinese yin and yang or day/night, but more often four segments, like the seasons.

A recognition and understanding of cycles is one way human beings are able to recognize patterns in data. As early humans learned that events in nature recur over and over again with regularity, they developed the ability to plan for the future, which ultimately led to advanced civilizations.

Human understanding of cycles goes back thousands of years, beginning with the recognition of the human life cycle. Every human who has ever lived was subject to the human life cycle of birth, childhood, adulthood, aging and death.

Early humans also recognized the life cycles of animals and plants and the regular changing of the seasons. They learned to use their understanding of cycles to plan their hunts, to know when native plants would be ripe for harvest and eventually to develop agriculture. By developing an understanding of the past, humans learned to manage the future better.

Cycles, as our ancestors recognized, are relevant in all aspects of life, be it the lifecycle of a cicada or the birth and death of a planet. In fact, even our human behavior and personalities are subject to cycles. Changes in the seasons raise or dampen our spirits; many people respond with depression to dark, dreary winter and grow cheery with the advent of warm spring sunshine and bright summer days. Many cycles trigger polarities of moods—from peace to war, or, with market cycles, from “exuberance” to “depression.”

Sorting Vs. Selling

The reality is that this business is about sorting rather than a selling. You’re sorting out the ones who are easy to speak with from the ones who aren’t. You’re sorting out the people who are receptive to a new way to earn more money and have more time from those who are overly skeptical or negative. Your goal is not to convince or persuade people that they should be interested. Rather, you’re simply sorting through your contact list to see which people on your list already have an interest in learning more. It’s like sorting M&M’s. If you are only looking for the red ones, you go through your bag of M&M’s and separate out the ones you want from the ones you don’t. You do not spend time or energy attempting to convince green M&M’s to turn red. Nor do you try and paint others to look red. You simply go through your M&M’s and look for red ones.

You should do the same thing. Unfortunately, people aren’t wearing big signs to tell you what color M&M they are, so you must go through your entire list and follow the steps. They will reveal what kind of M&M they are once you give them a chance. Don’t try to convince the ‘greenies’ on your contact list to turn red. Look for ones who are already red. Let them tell you what kind of M&M they are.

This Is A Numbers Game

Some people feel defeated if a prospect tells them no. In the long run, it doesn’t matter. Your job is not to make decisions for people. Your job is to invite your contacts to evaluate our opportunity and then to work with the ones who are interested. In the most sale training systems that uses the  ‘Go For No’ approach  people are taught to deliberately continue making  invitations each day, until they’ve gotten a pre-set number of people to tell them NO. Continuing to make invitations will inevitably lead to those who say YES.
No matter how good you are. No matter what skill level you achieve. No matter how much success you enjoy. Some people will just not be receptive to your message. It’s all part of the process. The more people you contact, the better your results. If you let yourself get discouraged easily, you’ll miss out on all the wonderful benefits you joined your business to receive. But if you understand that
some people will say ‘Yes’ and others will say ‘No’, then you’ll have the right attitude to achieve your true potential. You must keep a positive attitude and stay focused on the reasons you got into your business in the first place. Keep yourself positive even when others try to put down your goals. Some people get a kick out of stomping on your dreams. Don’t let it get you down.

Emotions Respond To What We Are Thinking

When someone is depressed, we say he has an emotional problem. But emotional problems, except in severe cases of physical abnormality, are caused by improper thinking. Emotions are only responders and have no intellect or intelligence of their own. They cannot distinguish between fantasy and reality or past, present, and future. They merely respond predictably to whatever we are putting in our minds. People watching a horror movie experience fear even knowing there is no real monster in their room. If they know there is no reality to what they’re experiencing, why do they feel fear? Because they are thinking frightening thoughts. Whatever we put in our minds determines our emotions. If we think of a sad situation, we’ll feel sad. If we think of an angering situation, we’ll feel anger. These things are true regardless of the reality of the thought. The same principles hold true regarding the past or future. Our minds can instantly recall a past situation-for example, an insult. Pondering that will produce an emotion of anger just as real as when the insult first occurred. Once we are in the grip of an emotion, such as anger, we often begin fantasizing and projecting into the future as well.

Our thought processes go something like this: “That bum insulted me” (anger). “Come to think of it, he insulted me last week too” (past thinking, more anger). “As a matter of fact, he’s always treated me that way!” (beginning to fantasize, more anger) “Everybody treats me like dirt” (fantasizing, anger, self-pity). “People will always treat me like nothing” (jump to future, fantasizing, self anger, pity) Sustained thinking like this will produce depression. What began as an isolated response in anger has become a state of anger as the mind continues to ponder the insult, remember the past, and project it into fantasies of the future.

“For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by Him we cry, “Abba, Father.” (Rom 8:15)

God did not create man with the ability to live in guilt or anxiety, but to deal with reality which can be found only in the present. For this reason, Jesus said, “Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matt. 6:34).

“Nobody who bought a drill actually wanted a drill, they wanted a hole.

Therefore, if you want to sell drills, you should advertise information about making holes – NOT information about drills” So here‘s what that means. Our product is not what you and I, as networkers, really think it is.

People don’t care about your opportunity. They just don’t.

They haven’t been waiting all of their lives to be an MLM distributors so why should it surprise you when they say ‘no thanks’? What they do care about, is finding a solution to their problem. Whether that be a lack of money, or time with their family, etc… Your job, is to position your opportunity as the solution to that problem… But you’ve got some hurdles to jump over in order to do that successfully:

Hurdle 1: You can’t sell.

Hurdle 2: People hate to be sold.

Hurdle 3: They will rarely see you, a complete stranger, as anything more than a sales person trying to get into their wallet.

The SOLUTION to your problem, is in the quote above, and here is what it means…

“Nobody who bought a drill, actually wanted a drill.” – You didn’t buy your MLM business because you wanted an MLM business. “They wanted a hole.” – You want more money, time, etc… “Therefore, if you want to sell drills, you should advertise information about making holes – NOT information about drills!” - People don’t want your opportunity. They want the benefits that it can provide them. And don’t like to be sold (they like to buy!). You want to get your prospects to sell themselves on using your opportunity as the tool with which to accomplish their goals. The best way to do that, is to market and promote information on how to drill a hole, faster, easier, and cheaper.

You don’t market your opportunity and products directly. That’s what a sales person does. You market and promote useful information. That’s what a consultant does. Put yourself in your prospect’s shoes for a minute and pretend that you’re researching your opportunity online. You type the name of your company into Google and hundreds of websites belonging to other distributors come up, pitching the company. Are you just going to call up one of those people randomly and join them, or are you going to seek out a leader who’s offering real expertise and value?

You’re going to join the leader of course. Whether he knows it or not, he’s practicing Magnetic Sponsoring. With a few specific tweaks to his marketing pieces, he’s basically separated himself from every other distributor in his company, and found a way to get invited into his prospect’s world.

The last article we left off with this question.  How do you do this?

Simple… The most potent marketing weapon you have in your arsenal, is actually you – because unlike business opportunities, there’s only one of you in the entire world. What you’ll learn inside Magnetic Sponsoring is how to use attraction marketing strategies to become that person… That leader and that expert that everyone wants to work with… The type of person whose phone calls and emails are welcomed and valued instead of detested and deleted.

You can be that person!

I’ve been studying human psychology for several years now, and what might surprise you, is that attraction between people isn’t really a choice, it’s a biological response. By learning how to flip these attraction switches on within ourselves, we automatically begin to attract others.

Two of the most powerful triggers in existence are value and status.

People are genetically programmed to feel attraction towards others who have equal or higher levels of value and status and you’re no different. We respond this way because we stand to gain power through an association with that person. If you can establish a relationship with a person of greater status and value, your value and status automatically increase as well through that association alone. New doors and opportunities are opened. New, inside knowledge can be gained that’s only reserved for people within that circle. New alliances and partnerships with other powerful people can be formed. This is why you’re on training calls every week to gain insights from a successful team leader. This is why you idolize the top distributors on stage at your company events and crowd around them to listen in on their conversations. This is why your stand and cheer for your company’s CEO when he speaks.

These people have something of value to offer you, and by associating with them, you have power to gain.

We have been programmed this way from the very beginning, and if you struggle with sponsoring in this industry, now you know why. I used to think that sponsoring was just about numbers. That is was about scripts and saying the right words. But no matter what I did, I struggled to build a team of distributors for over five years, until I realized the difference between myself, and the leaders in my company who were sponsoring dozens of new reps every single month…

They were different because they held value in the eyes of their prospects and they knew how to convey that value in their marketing. Their prospects saw this, and they were attracted to these individuals. They wanted to work with them and it was a privilege to be sponsored by them because they knew that there was power and knowledge to be gained in such a relationship.

So where does that leave you?

If you’re not sponsoring new distributors, if prospects don’t return your phone calls, or respond to your emails, it’s because you don’t hold any value in their eyes. You have nothing to offer them. And that’s ok. Everyone start’s from square one, but if you want to achieve the highest levels of success in this industry, you need to change that. The best way to increase your value to others, especially in this industry, is to increase your knowledge level. That’s what I did…. I spent a good year buying every course I could on online marketing, copywriting, and personal development, and by the end of that year, I had so much to offer my prospects, that sponsoring literally became effortless.

So as we continue through this series of articles, always remember that if you want to make the sponsoring process as easy as possible, you need to increase your value to your prospects by increasing your level of knowledge and experience. Buy every book and every course you can because each time you do, you gain knowledge and skills that are extremely valuable and attractive to your prospects. It has nothing to do with technological gadgets like auto-dialers, scripts, or lead lists. I could give you all of those things, but if you didn’t hold any personal value in the eyes of your prospects, you would still find yourself struggling to build a team and acquire customers. And that actually leads me to the second piece of our fairly large puzzle here…

There’s an old marketing cliché I came across about two years ago. These two sentences played a critical role in the development of my business. They are absolutely crucial to marketing your opportunity and products successfully today.

I wanted to create this blog post for you in order to offer some real life experiences. There’s a lot of material that we’re going to cover, but all of it is centered on the fact that the rules have changed…

The old fashioned methods of pounding the phones, holding meetings, pitching your business to leads, and trying to turn your friends and family members into business partners have come to an end. “Prospecting” for business as you’ve known it, has become obsolete. It’s an irrelevant, old-school sales technology that is only pursued by individuals who have yet to discover the methods Attraction Marketing is based upon.

I’d like you to stop and think for a moment. Compare today’s social environment to the world we lived in just 15 years ago. Today, people are DROWNING under a flood of information, marketing noise, and endless options to choose from thanks to the internet. Corporations have literally turned us into numbers, tracked our personal buying habits, categorized our topics of interest, and constantly use that information to drive as many customized offers into our viewing screen.

Entire industries, products, and pieces of legislature have been created just to help consumers manage the tidal wave… Think pop-up blockers, spy ware protection, spam filters, and the “Do Not Call List” People have been forced to build fortified walls around themselves and their homes to fight back the onslaught of people trying to get their hands into their pocket book. Solicitations are detested and met with frustration and impatience. We simply don’t want to be bothered which means no sane person would willingly build any kind of business based on cold-market prospecting, and in-your-face selling.

Yet… The internet has created an entirely new world of opportunity for everyone, where you can literally re-invent your life, and turn a simple thought into a business for little or no money at all. Obviously, that’s a trend you intend to take advantage of, or you wouldn’t be here right now. But unfortunately 95% of those who start a home business will fail themselves, and the primary reason for that failure is that they didn’t acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in today’s modern, competitive market place.

So with that in mind, allow me to pass a few of the valuable lessons I’ve learned the hard way over the past few years.

The key to success in today’s market is this…

If you’re going to sell something to someone, you’ve got to find a way to get invited into their world as a welcomed guest, instead of a pest. Now you have two options when it comes to building your business. You can simply play the numbers and contact enough people until you make a sale through traditional old-school prospecting and this is the path 95% of home business owners take.

Or…

You can position yourself in the market place in a manner that allows interested prospects to find you, and contact you. Option #2 is obviously the superior choice for several reasons, but I’d like to point out one dynamic that is key to the concept of Attraction Marketing. Who finds and contacts the other person first is very important. In Option 1, you were chasing the prospect. In Option 2, the prospect was chasing you, which means you are perceived as the expert, and hold all of the power and value in that situation.

The prospect invited you into his world, and is basically asking you to sell him your goods or services. You get to instantly bypass all of the barriers and walls that must be broken down by everyone else, and all of the sudden this isn’t about selling any more. You’re now in the position of the knowledgeable service provider who’s expertise has been sought out and pursued. This is where you have to be today in order to break through the infinite noise in today’s market place.
